

Invitation
From 13th to 17th September 2009, in the city of Belo Horizonte, Brazil, will be held the 5th International k0-Users Workshop.
The 1st edition was held in Gent, Belgium (1992), the 2nd in Ljubljana, Slovenia (1996), the 3rd in Bruges, Belgium (2001) and the 4th in Funchal, Madeira Island, Portugal (2005).
The objectives of the k0-Users Workshop are: to bring together researchers and new users to strengthen k0-NAA applicability worldwide, to exchange information and review the status of current developments and applications, to discuss the method traceability, its quality assurance can be improved, how the several versions of k0-libraries in use can be harmonized and to discuss future trends.
The following topics will be covered:
- General developments;
- Nuclear data;
- k0-NAA implementation and application;
- Quality assurance;
- Instrumental characterisation;
- Dedicated software;
- Short-lived nuclides and k0-NAA;
- PG- k0-NAA.
In addition, in the weekend before the workshop (12-13 Sept) there will be a training (if there is enough interest) on the use of Kayzero for Windows, see www.kayzero.com for more information.
This 5th k0-Users Workshop will be an opportunity for participants to exchange scientific information, knowledge and experience about the method and its applications.
